2003 UB313

Playback

Sublimation: An Exercise in the Immersive, Oboro, Montréal, Canada. 3 March to 7 April 2012.

Description

This short piece was composed in 2006, following the discovery of the solar system’s largest dwarf planet, Eris. “2003 UB313” was included in the exhibit Sublimation.

The exhibition included audio-visual works by eight international artists, curated in response to the concept of the sublime. “These works saturate the sonic and visual landscape, drenching and enveloping the audience and must be experienced to be truly understood.”

It was curated by Helen Frosi (SoundFjord, London), Yann Novak (sound and video artist, Los Angeles) and France Jobin (sound artist, Montréal).

Fluid Radio had a comprehensive article with links to video clips, but this seems to be missing in action. There is instead some information at Oboro.
