Dragonfly Multi-Arts Festival, Ekehagens Forntidsby, Åsarp, Sweden. 20-22 August 2010.
This shorter (8:48) four-channel version of “wave, particle, falling leaves” was played at The Dragonfly Multi-Arts Festival. This was held at Ekehagens Forntidsby, a bronze-age settlement and open-air museum at Åsarp near Gothenburg.
Dragonfly, organised by The Hollow Egg, featured “music (electric and acoustic) of diverse genre, performance, DJ sets in the evening, a cinema hut, visual arts and creative activities, organic ‘slow’ food, among other things, set amongst the backdrop of a leafy birch forest with lake and shaded pathways.” That sounds amazing, but I was unable to attend.
The sound art component was curated by Helen Frosi of London’s SoundFjord gallery. Works could be heard from noon to 6pm each day.
Thanks to Helen Frosi.
