Description

This audacious re-interpretation of “The Rite of Spring” was choreographed by Katarina Mojzisova. Three young dancers (Roisin Kelly, Alanna Mulcahy, Pascal Holper) were set to dance in a shopping mall. My contribution was audio design and sound operation.

Although the performance had permission to take place, the mall manager received complaints and set about trying to shut it down. As the technical operator, I was on the receiving end of his rather vociferous objections. It was wonderful to see that this piece can still cause controvery!
